#74 Summer Haze
My world has turned to tan skin,
Glistening water.
Chemical smells,
And kisses stolen from the ever watching eyes of mothers.
"Let's fill the tank with gas,
Just drive till we run out of road Babe."
School is as far away,
As Saturn's rings,
And Orion.
Our sanity
Washed out of our heads with the pool water.
Our eagerness,
Fueled by the heat.
Making us bold and crazy.
There is no sense of time,
As the temperatures climb.
The higher the better.
Summer is our drug.
Unimaginable freedom.
Puppets of the party,
Addicts of Summer Haze.
